Our noses are intrinsically trained to sense anything that we associate with beauty and peace and immediately associate it with Heaven.

It Has to Make Scents

What do you think about when you imagine the Garden of Eden? If you’re like most people, you’re likely envisioning a bunch of fruit-covered trees in a single valley, but this isn’t what the Garden looked like at all. The Garden itself was an experience, and it wasn’t just a lineup of fruit-bearing trees hosting the fruits that we’ve come to know and enjoy. The Garden was expansive! As a matter of fact, from Adam and Eve’s perspective, the Garden of Eden was the world within itself! In other words, it stretched far beyond what their eyes could see. It wasn’t just a small patch of trees; it was far larger than the largest islands on Earth. It was far more beautiful than our imaginations can conceptualize, and it wasn’t just a sight; it tantalized every sense that had been given to man. It was beautiful to behold (sight), it produced a pleasant feeling (touch), the fruits were incredibly delicious (taste), it attracted song-birds and other animals that would produce beautiful music (sound), and the aromas that filled that space were beyond what we can think or imagine (smell). This is why we don’t just eat the good of the land, we actually extract its juices and oils to make some of the most fragrant and pleasant scents known to man. This is to say that if it doesn’t make scents, it doesn’t make sense.

I know that this is going to be a weird question, but how do you smell on any given day? When people encounter you in the workplace, at church, or even at the supermarket, what do they smell whenever they come into the outskirts of your personal space? Believe it or not, it is and can be considered rude to give people an unpleasant encounter with you, even though it isn’t necessarily illegal. And by “unpleasant encounter,” I’m not just talking about your smell, I’m also talking about how you present yourself to the world. You see, whenever we know that we are going to be in the presence of people that we love and esteem, we intentionally go out of our way to give those people a pleasant experience with us. We bathe a little longer, put on our favorite outfits, spend extra time doing our makeup, we put extra effort into styling our hair, we adorn ourselves in jewelry, and for the final touch, we spray or smear on some of our favorite fragrances. We do this because we want the people in question to remember us, and to accomplish this, we somehow understand that how we show up is important. Nevertheless, if we are going to encounter people that we do not esteem or people that we’ve equalized (placed on our levels), we put the standard amount of effort (or less) into our appearances and our grooming. This is because we respect them, but we honored the people we wanted to impress.

But here’s what most people do not know. Sometimes, the regular-smegular people are the ones who will serve as greater blessings to us; these are the people who will mention our names in rooms that they ordinarily wouldn’t be heard in. These are the people who will support us the most whenever we need encouragement or to promote something we’ve produced. This is to say … don’t esteem people. Just show up as the best version of yourself physically, spiritually, and morally; this way, you will leave a lasting impression on everyone that you come in contact with.

Let En’veilup help you to show up bearing a fruity, yet flowery scent that will definitely appeal to the people you come in contact with. Don’t just give them an experience. Again, the goal is for you to become the experience. Check out this quote by Orison Swett Marden; it reads:

Sweeter than the perfume of roses is a reputation for a kind, charitable, unselfish nature; a ready disposition to do to others any good turn in your power.
